She has defied odds to prove that an investment in a rural girl is never wasted. Up To date we still celebrate Noel's success and wish her the very best of luck as she leads one of the top schools in Kenya.
I would describe my leadership style as democratic; I do not embrace dictatorship but instead I serve, with people’s interest as priority. With mutual respect, I respect them they respect me. As a leader I have learnt to be approachable, in that I value everyone and so they can approach me when need to do so arises. I put into consideration every opinion and try as much as I can to make them comfortable. I work tirelessly to amplify the voice of my people and champion their interest. I can also say that my attitude is to serve rather than to be served and so the attitude of servanthood is conspicuously present in my Life. I have also made it any goal to connect with others by circulating among them and talking to people. And above all being firm but fair. I can also say that my leadership is controlled by passion and no other people’s perception. Passion has helped me become a more dedicated and productive person.
Justice is the value that has really been the greatest guide in my approach to leadership. No discrimination, No Favors. I always treat each and every one equally administering justice. In addition to justice, courage. I believe courage helps me not to worry about trivial things and overcome fear and doubt. Boldness, is one of the values that has kept me going all through and I operate with the slogan bold but humble. Besides the other values honestly, humility, generosity and assertiveness are values that guide my approach to leadership.
The passion to lead and make a positive impact in people’s lives. I have always had the urge to effective and not just famous. Most of the time I look at the world today I see nothing but the world sinking deep into water. People have embraced what is abominable and forbidden and treasure it as cool. Taking part on leadership role helps me to acquire the skills I need so as to impact positively as many as possible. I have always had a desire to make this generation a Godly and mindful one with pursuit of excellence and nothing less. I see so many people especially young girls who are waiting for people to get up and take position and help them out of the pit they are in.
In as much as I have the urge to change people’s lives leave a great legacy before my time on earth expires. I am also interested in Making myself a better person.

Balancing between leadership and academics has been a great challenge. Sometimes I tend to spend more time attending to my duty as leader negatively affecting my studies and sometimes, I do more studies forgetting about my duties as a leader. It has taken me quite a long time to adapt and manage my time properly since I learnt the art of delegating duties to complete opposition must be present. Since when I took up my role as a leader, I was not prepared for it and when I encountered it really took a heavy stroll in my mental health, I have trained my mind to be ready for such and became immure to people’s words. I have taught myself that people’s opinions should never matter in life
Leadership has instilled perseverance and patience in me. It has taught me that the world today needs people who persevere and are patient. It has taught me to face the reality of life since escaping reality is not the way to go. It has taught me that as a leader I must continually see the big picture and so I cannot afford to be overwhelmed by emotions. In addition to that, it has helped me to learn never to lower my dignity and that dignity must step aside. It has helped me to acquire more confidence and Boldness and humility. Lastly leadership has helped me to always be on the line and at all time unleash my full potential since I understand that with great responsibility, much I expected.
I would advise them they should be ready for anything. They should not expect a smooth journey but anticipate problems because leadership come with enough problems of its own. I would also advise them to be royal in their own fashion; Act like a king in order to be treated like one since the way one carries his or herself determines how they will be treated.
I would also advise them that they should serve as if doing that for God for Authority comes from Him. They should always ask God for Guidance before taking any step
Joanne's experience at Ashesi University has been nothing short of transformative. The supportive environment, engaging academic programs, and diverse community have enriched her learning journey. She has the opportunity to explore her interests, develop critical thinking skills, and build lifelong friendships.
Originally from Kenya, She has found a second home at Ashesi University, where she is pursuing her passion for Computer Science. She did her high school education at St. Josephs Girls’ High School in Chepterit. She is not just passionate about coding but also dreams of one day owning a children's home in order to make a positive impact on young lives.
She discovered her biggest dream when she started her journey as a scholar of Life Lifters Kenya. Her biggest dream is to establish a children's home in order to provide love, care, and support to orphaned and vulnerable children. She has a strong believe that every child deserves a safe and nurturing environment to thrive, and She is committed to making a positive impact on their lives.
"Creating this haven for children is not just a dream, it's a calling that drives me to work hard and make a difference in the world."
"Life Lifters Kenya has been with me all throughout, having received unwavering love, encouragement, and resilience, which have been the foundation of my journey."
Additionally, Life Lifters Kenya, played a significant role in empowering her to pursue her education when life seemed challenging.
Joanne's journey at St. Joseph's Girls’ High School in Chepterit was quite difficult untill Life Lifters Kenya came along. She was given a second chance at education when life seemed to be at its lowest. She was thrilled to be part of Life Lifters, ready to learn, grow, and make a difference in the world. She got the opportunity to make new friends and learn a lot about social life from seminars organized by Life Lifters Kenya.
For her, confidence, self-respect, and determination were the key values Life Lifters Kenya unlocked. The most memorable experience with the organization was when she was offered the opportunity to pursue education through its scholarship program. This was a turning point in her life, providing her with hope and a path towards a better future.
Life Lifters Kenya Organisaton played a crucial role in helping Joanne overcome various challenges by providing financial support for her education when she needed it the most. They not only offered financial assistance but also provided mentorship and guidance, which empowered Joan to navigate through difficult times.
Joanne's role model is Caroline Mutoko. She inspired her with boldness, compassion, and dedication to making a difference in the lives of others. Her leadership qualities and commitment to service motivate Joanne to strive for excellence and contribute meaningfully to the society.Nevertheless, Joanne's advice for younger girls from challenging backgrounds is to believe in themselves and never lose hope.
_"Despite facing obstacles, know that you have the strength and chance to overcome them. Seek support from mentors who can help you unlock your potential and pursue your dreams. Remember that your background does not determine your future; it is your determination and hard work that will shape your destiny."_
